vero possumus?

vero possumus?

is that what i see before me, with the candidate obama appearing over the...what do you call that thing...oh, his seal

i see, his own seal, web address, that is good, more money all the time.

but, word up dudes, uh, vero possumus?

now, i admit to being a rube, and i understand what it means, but, ah, that photo may be the single most important thing to occur so far this election cycle

that photo will be much the occasion of snickering and guffawing among people who like to mock things.

opposums you say, i know they curl their tail around limbs so they can sleep safely and all and vero beach does have a problem but hey, other than them, who wants to see anything with possum in  it?

nobody, and whomever designed that, uh, seal, ought to be made walk a plank into shark and seal infested waters..

vero possumus...real possums...true possums? whatever did that guy think when he appeared with that garish prop....my gosh, it is like ron reagan, he used weird, outsized props too, obama really has done his homework, props for the...well, idiot signs for others.

...if you let us know what the hell you are talking about.

Anyway, sure, you'll have some Free Republic types snickering about "very opossums" and the like, but that will just make them look as petty and juvenile as they are, and most people will not care.

I think it would fit better on a website (none / 0)

because I think the seal of the President is reserved for who is the President. This does kind of diminish the importance of the seal, by making it a cheap campaign prop for someone who isn't the President. I do think the Vero Possumus is very clever, I know Latin.

I can see that (none / 0)

The seal itself might be seen by some as being presumptuous. That's a bit more valid than "hehe, it says possum."

Re: vero possumus? (2.00 / 3)

"Single most important thing to occur so far this election cycle"?  Um, ok dude.  I'm not terribly concerned that a few people will make jokes about the latinization of "yes we can".  If that's what this election turns on, there are more morons in this country than I thought (and I already think this country is filled with them).
